Hi again, this week I’ve diversified slightly from the book promotion story to bring you news of some book promotion I’m doing 😉
Some of you might be aware that in another life I run two other businesses. One fixing and supplying domestic appliances and the other doing specific goalkeeper coaching for kids. Well within the coaching company I supply my students with a unique coaching strip, so I had the idea to do a bit of free advertising for EDJ Publishing by having them sponsor the newly designed coaching shirts.
So if you check out my Vlog this week you’ll see a little video within the video log itself of the shirt. Below are some stills of the kids green kit and the even jazzier coaches, red and dark grey/green version.
Myself and Andy Pressdee of
Press Creative have redesigned the shirts and this is what we came up with. I personally think its amazing. I’ve used a process called sublimation which incredibly is a way of getting ink into the fibre being used for the shirts. It’s done in such a way that it becomes part of the fabric itself. I don’t fully understand the process but imagine it to be akin to a tattoo and I know lots about that !
The upshot is that sublimation allows ANY image to be put on any garment giving unlimited options for designs. I love it, no scratchy stitches on the team logos, no bulky heavy badges or peel off ironed on numbers etc. Fantastic. Hope you like it
